My name is Sensei Julia Heenan and I am the chief Instructor for this area. All our Instructors are fully police vetted, comprehensively insured and qualified first aiders.

The association was set up by Sensei Ian Cuthbert 5th Dan in 1979 and has since become one of the largest and most successful professional Karate associations in England, renowned for producing quality students with its unique system, it is rapidly expanding throughout the country.

The United Karate Association belongs to Shikon (over 12,000 members), one of the founder members of Karate England.

Whether your aim is to become fitter, meet new people, learn a spectacular art form, learn how to defend yourself in a realistic self-defence situation, release the build up of stress in your system, take part in one of the most popular indoor sports in England or just to give yourself focus in life, the United Karate Association has something for everyone.

All classes are structured to provide a wide range of mental and physical skills that you will find of great use in everyday life, while at the same time building self-confidence, self-esteem and self-belief.

On my web site you will find a schedule of classes taught by myself and my other Instructors, Sensei Barry Healy, Sensei Tasha Heenan, Sensei Lisa Lethbridge and Sensei Rob Ward. You will also find a message board in which I will answer any questions you may have, video clips, our Predators team page, terminology and pictures of all our latest events.
